One in a million....

Dr. Hough reported that he has never had a patient with such a severe case of spinal menengitis and live. He stated "he is definitely one in a million."
Mike continues to be very responsive to his surroundings- reaching out for necklaces, smiling, opening cards, tracking colors and even a spoken "Yea." The respirator has been removed.

Our prayers are with you both for continued strength and progress. You are so strong and so good together - we will all learn from your love as it grows ever stronger as well. Continue to be strong and allow others to bear some of your burdens.

Many, many hugs,
Margi & David

Just reading all the great news makes me cry! Keep getting stronger and know you have people far and wide sending you strength. But you know, Mike, we already knew you were one in a million. You really didn't have to prove it to us.

Mike,
So great to hear all the good news that Kevin is so good at sharing. Interesting thing--I googled Mike's Miracle and came up with car washes, facial soaps, religious seminars and yes even how to make "smoothies". Mike, we all know that you are indeed a "smoothie" but the genuine Miracle is how you are using all your strength and that of those who love you to once again bring back to us the Mike that is so precious to all of us. Our prayers are always with you, Suzie and family.
Love,
York & Dianne

Mike and Suzanne--
It is wonderful to hear all the positive news. I really appreciate Kevin's updates and know the news will just keep getting better.
I am so glad we got a chance to get together 3/3 and can't believe how much has happened in a week and a half.
You are in our thoughts and we wish you continued strength and patience as you recover.
